Ronald Prillwitz

MPP'22

Ronald Prillwitz, MPP'22, was an Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force with thirteen years of service. His academic interests include the dynamics of radicalization, countering violent extremism, as well as the politics of unipolarity. He was awarded the Boren Fellowship in 2021.

Prior to his time at the University of Chicago, Prillwitz served as a counterterrorism analyst and joint reconnaissance officer completing multiple military deployments to Southwest Asia and the Middle East. He is also on the board of directors for two nonprofit organizations that focus on advocacy for service members, veterans, and military families in need of assistance. He plans to return to the U.S. Air Force after finishing his studies at the University of Chicago.

Prillwitz holds an undergraduate degree in community development and public administration from Central Michigan University.
