Abdul Lateef

Abdul Lateef is in the Civil Service with the Government of Pakistan.  At Harris he was a Fulbright scholar an MPP student. His academic interests include global conflict and crime policy.

Prior to his time at the University of Chicago, Lateef was serving in the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). He has five years of experience as law enforcement and public policy practitioner across the breadth of Pakistan. This includes a stint as an Assistant District Officer in Pakistan's Frontier Constabulary stationed in the erstwhile FATA region. He has also worked at the Central Bank of Pakistan and was a research assistant at the Woodrow Wilson Center.

Lateef holds a BBA in finance from the Institute of Business Administration- Karachi, and has completed the Common Training Program at Civil Service Academy, Lahore and the Specialized Training Program at National Police Academy, Islamabad. He speaks Urdu and Sindhi.
