Siobhan McDonough

Siobhan McDonough is a Portfolio Manager at USAID Development Innovation Ventures.

While at Harris Public Policy, McDonough worked as a research assistant for Pearson Faculty Affiliate Kara Ross Camarena, was editor-in-chief of the Chicago Policy Review, and taught writing for the University’s Humanities Core. She completed internships with the International Growth Centre and The Brookings Institution's Global Economy and Development Program; and worked as a Fellow with Vox Future Perfect.

Prior to her time at the University of Chicago, McDonough worked as the communications senior associate at IDinsight in New Delhi, India. She worked with 50+ social sector research teams across seven global offices to write and disseminate articles, policy briefs, op-eds, and other content. The highlight of her time was launching, managing, and writing for IDinsight’s blog. Previously at IDinsight, she worked in agriculture monitoring and evaluation in Zambia’s Southern and Central Provinces.

McDonough holds a BA from Harvard University in social studies (economics/sociology/political theory) and studied abroad in Morocco. She conducted her senior thesis research on immigration and labor market integration.
