Careers in Conflict and Development: Sutherland Miller

Join The Pearson Institute for the first edition of our Careers in Conflict & Development event series, featuring Sutherland Miller, Project Director/Chief of Party of the Research Technical Assistance Center (RTAC) at NORC at the University of Chicago. RTAC is a four-year, $24 million project designed to leverage the academic community to provide evidence-based research and technical assistance for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

The World as It Is: A Book Discussion with Ben Rhodes

Ben Rhodes, Deputy National Security Advisor to President Obama from 2009 to 2017, will join The Pearson Institute and University of Chicago International House to share anecdotes and a behind-the-scenes look at his time in the Obama Administration as chronicled in his New York Times bestseller, The World as It Is as part of our Distinguished Speaker Series. The discussion will be moderated by Katherine Baicker, Dean and Emmett Dedmon Professor, Harris Public Policy.
