Charles Mensa

Charles Mensa is a first-year MPP student at the Harris School of Public Policy. His areas of interest include finance and policy, international development, and energy especially in sub-Saharan countries. He is also interested in exploring strategies that resource-rich nations can employ to effectively manage and safeguard their natural endowments, fostering sustainable growth and socio-economic development.

Prior to coming to the Harris School of Public Policy, Mensa worked at Deutsche Bank as an Investment Banking Analyst. In this capacity, Charles worked on medium to large sell-side transactions within the food and beverage industry. His experience also extends to high-stakes mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and activism defense, where he worked scenarios involving corporate raiders, activist shareholders, and internal corporate disputes.

Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell university, where he found his passions for policy and development and developed his analytical foundation.
