Noah Blaser

MPP Candidate '26

Noah Blaser is an MPP student at the Harris School of Public Policy, and brings over a decade of experience that spans from conflict journalism to corporate communications.

He plans to develop new quantitative skills and sharpen his understanding of digital investigative tools while a Pearson fellow.

Prior to joining Harris, Noah worked for the World Bank’s private investment arm, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), serving as the co-lead for all external communications around a $16 billion portfolio of IFC projects in agribusiness, healthcare, education, and manufacturing.

Between 2012 and 2016, Noah was based in Istanbul, Turkey, and worked as a journalist covering Turkish politics, the rise of the Islamic State, the Turkish-Kurdish issue, and the dramatic expansion of Turkey’s prison system.

Noah worked as a consultant for the International Crisis Group, developing its first-ever data project, a conflict map that continues to track the conflict between the Turkish state and insurgent Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

Noah is a fluent Turkish speaker, and previously graduated from the University of Chicago with an undergraduate degree in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations.
