Predicting and Preventing Gun Violence: An Experimental Evaluation of READI Chicago

Chris Blattman and coauthors released new research on the efficacy of the READI Chicago program, which engages at-risk men with paid economic opportunities, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Utilizing a randomized control trial, the data shows that participants were 64% less likely than their peers to be arrested for shooting or a homicide.
