Haoran Gao
Pearson Scholar
PhD Student
Haoran is a PhD student at Harris School of Public Policy and a Pearson Scholar at the Pearson Institute. His research interests include development economics and political economy. Prior to Chicago, he obtained a Bachelor degree in economics and information science from Peking University in China.
Prior to his time at the to University of Chicago, he was a research assistant to Professor David Yang of Harvard University. Previously, he also worked with Professor Guo Xu at UC Berkeley and Professor Tianyang Xi at Peking University as their research assistant.
