Patrick Mealy

Pearson Fellow Alum


Patrick Mealy, MPP'23, is a recent Harris School of Public Policy graduate. He is a Major in the United States Army with ten years of service and a General Wayne A. Downing Scholar.

Before his time at the University of Chicago, Mealy served in various tactical leadership positions as an Infantry Officer. He has operational experience in conventional, joint, and special operations. His service includes combat deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. He will return to the United States Army upon completing his studies at the University of Chicago.

Mealy holds a Bachelor of Science in management with a minor in systems engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
