Harris Public Policy students visited Zaatari refugee camp as part of the 2018 Pearson International Conflict Seminar to Jordan, where they met with Syrian refugees leading NGO programming within the camp.

Research and Policy
Patrick Mealy is a second-year MPP student at Harris Public Policy. He is a Major in the United States Army with ten years of service and a General Wayne A. Downing Scholar.
Before his time at the University of Chicago, Mealy served in various tactical leadership positions as an Infantry Officer. He has operational experience in conventional, joint, and special operations. His service includes combat deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. He will return to the United States Army upon completing his studies at the University of Chicago.
Mealy holds a Bachelor of Science in management with a minor in systems engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
