Harris Public Policy students visited Zaatari refugee camp as part of the 2018 Pearson International Conflict Seminar to Jordan, where they met with Syrian refugees leading NGO programming within the camp.

Research and Policy
Siobhan McDonough is a first-year MPP student at Harris Public Policy. She works as a research assistant for Pearson Faculty Affiliate Kara Ross Camarena, is also the Community Editor for the Chicago Policy Review, and teaches writing for the University’s Humanities Core.
Prior to her time at the University of Chicago, McDonough worked as the communications senior associate at IDinsight in New Delhi, India. She worked with 50+ social sector research teams across seven global offices to write and disseminate articles, policy briefs, op-eds, and other content. The highlight of her time was launching, managing, and writing for IDinsight’s blog. Previously at IDinsight, she worked in agriculture monitoring and evaluation in Zambia’s Southern and Central Provinces.
McDonough holds a BA from Harvard University in social studies (economics/sociology/political theory) and studied abroad in Morocco. She conducted her senior thesis research on immigration and labor market integration.
