Terrorism Financing, Recruitment and Attacks: Evidence from a Natural Experiment in Pakistan

Hear from Nicola Limodio, Assistant Professor of Finance at Bocconi University and Visiting Fellow at Princeton University. Professor Limodio's research focuses on banking, corporate finance and development economics. He will present findings from his current research on terrorism financing in Pakistan.

Beyond the Post-Paradigm Moment

This workshop will showcase a new generation of IR scholars that are engaging issues raised during the International Relations "paradigm era" with new techniques/approaches. It will focus on three themed sessions: 1) new work on balancing dynamics and the onset/conduct of war; 2) how ideas lead to change in the international system; and 3) new insights into cooperation and conflict resolution via international organizations. This workshop will be held in coordination with the University of Chicago’s Political Science Department.

Latin America(n) Matters Policy Forum

The Pearson Institute will sponsor this annual all-day conference organized by Latin America(n) Matters at Harris Public Policy. The conference will explore policy areas that contribute to conflict, instability and development in the region. This year's speakers include Deltan Martinazzo Dallagno, Federal Prosecutor of Brazil leading the infamous "Car Wash" investigation; Fidel Cano, publisher of El Espectador, Colombia's oldest newspaper; and Carlos Fernández, Director of the Central Bank of Paraguay.
